Two!

Aiden's Second birthday is approaching fast! I cannot believe how fast this past year has gone. Aiden has grown so much in such a short amount of time. He is absolutely amazing!
Aiden is talking up a storm. He is always sure to say "pease, and tank yoou." He can identify all the colors of the rainbow we especially love when he says "lellelow", and the numbers 1-10. He loves to point out new things so he can figure out how to say the words. Both Grandmothers were very excited when he learned to say "Nana and Grandma" and he certainly knows who is who. I think he actually said "mom" last, for a long time I was just "ma." Daddy won that battle, although Aiden's first word was "ball." Aiden loves to color pictures, he is constantly asking to "tolor" whether it be with his crayons or outside with chalk. He also loves to spot airplanes. He can hear them from miles away. Sometimes he even mistakes lawn mowers for airplanes because they sound similar. Aiden loves to read books, blow bubbles, play in the water, go for walks, collect rocks, give kisses, eat popcicles, and best of all.... destroy the play room!
Aiden has also become very helpful around the house. He helps me put clothes in the washer (as long as its not his blankie), and he loves to put things in the "trash." Aiden will even go get things for me in another room like a diaper for his baby sister. Aiden has finally accepted that Olivia is here to stay. He still pushes her away occasionally, but he gives her plenty of hugs and kisses to make up for it. Aiden will bring his sister toys to play with, and Olivia just loves watching her big brother regardless of what he is doing. He just amazes her, as he amazes everyone.
Aiden still loves Elmo. He will run from another room usually if he hears "Elmo's World." He also likes "Blues Clues" and "Word World." Aiden loves to learn, so anything that he can read or watch that teaches him something is what makes him happy. He loves to quiz his parents too. Aiden will point things out and then look at us for the answers as if he already knows and is checking to make sure we do too.
Aiden loves spending time with his cousins Destiny and Charlie a.k.a "the Charlies." He cannot say "destiny" yet so he calls them both Charlie. His favorite thing to do when they spend the night is to wake them up bright and early by climbing on top of them and yelling "morning!" He is so darn cute they can't help but laugh... even though they would really like to stay asleep.
This little man has so many talents, I cannot possibly list them all. He is just the sweetest little boy in the world! I love to watch him grow and learn, because everyday it's something new. Aiden has the most wonderful smile, and the cutest sparkle in his eye. I love him sooo much, and I just can't wait to see what the next year has in store for us!....
Well..... maybe I can wait..... time flies so fast, I don't want to miss a thing.
Paul and I are so blessed to have this angel to call our son.
Happy Second Birthday Aiden! Its coming up quick. ( September 8th 2010)

Just chillin'

So it was just an ordinary summer day. We had just left a BBQ at my Uncle's house. Paul looked over and noticed a rather large bird on the side walk. It was so odd he had to turn around and go back. There it was, a hawk just hanging out on a side walk right in front of somebody's house
........Not something you see everyday.

Time is Flying!

Aiden and his beloved "dane-det"

Our beautiful angel looking up at heaven

Olivia and her cousin Gracie

Cowboy Aiden...looks like he is line dancing...or climbing into the trash can. You decide. :)

Time goes by so fast, I can't believe it. Olivia is already 3 months and quickly approaching 4! She is holding her head up and already trying to roll over. Since I had to go back to work, my mom has been watching her on Thursdays. It's been nice having her back in Idaho. Olivia gets some bonding time with Grandma and Aiden gets to go play with some kids his own age for the day.
Big brother, Aiden is getting used to the fact that baby sister isn't just visiting. He is talking up a storm. Today he said "Good morning Daddy." It was so cute! Paul couldn't help but wake up with a smile on his face. I love playing with him. We all have such a great time together. Aiden loves to blow bubbles and play in his pool in the backyard. Having a house has been such a blessing. We have tons of projects, but it's a labor of love.
Aiden got his first sunburn today. We went to the T-Mobile company picnic and Mom forgot the sunscreen. Ooops! It was bound to happen at some point, but I feel terrible. We had a great time so I think it was worth it.
I am trying very hard to keep this blog updated. Its so much easier just to post pictures to facebook, but I really like this better. Bare with me all those how keep checking. I will make time for it eventually.

Growing too fast!

Every time I look at her she changes. One thing has remained the same since she was born though, and thats her smile. I didn't think there could be a happier baby than Aiden, but here comes Miss Olivia and proves me wrong. Olivia is so beautiful she makes my heart smile. I love both of my babies dearly and I couldn't imagine life without them. Now if I could just slow time down just a little because they just grow so fast!

As Close as They Get...

We have been trying to get these two in a picture together since Olivia was born. We have succeeded a couple times, but Aiden is usually trying his best to escape. So imagine how shocked I was to walk in and see Aiden lying next to his baby sister... Voluntarily! Not to mention he stayed put long enough for me to snap a picture. Guess he loves his sister after all. :D

We will, We will.....

Watching Aiden grow is just amazing! I can't get enough of it. Every time he tries something new, or develops a new skill my heart melts. This video is hilarious. Destiny was doing a number from her school program with Charlie, and Aiden decided to join in. He couldn't quite put the stomping and clapping together, but it was adorable anyway. He was so excited!

Where's Aiden?

One Crazy Baby Story!

Well the pregnancy went longer than I thought, but the delivery sure didn't! It was Saturday night around 9:00pm when I started feeling what I thought were contractions. How quickly I had forgot the real pain of labor. They were about 5-8 minutes apart, and by 11:00pm I was ready to go to the hospital to at least be checked out, I thought for sure I would be admitted. We called Nana in from Sweet to sit with Aiden, and headed in.
When the nurse checked me, I was no more dilated than I was Friday afternoon! 3cm was all. To top it all off the "contractions" had tapered off, so we went home to get some sleep. By 2am we were home and in bed. The next morning I woke up at 7am to take a walk, I took another walk that afternoon with Paul and Aiden, and we took yet another walk when Sandra arrived back at the house. Still no signs of labor. Sandra and Paul decided to go to Home Depot because well...obviously Miss Olivia was not coming today. That was at 4pm...
At 5pm I decide to start dinner. Then at 5:13pm I had the most excruciating contraction I have ever or will ever experience. 15 mins later, another one. When Paul walked in at 5:30 I desperately trying not to scare our son. Needless to say it was time to go to the hospital.
When we arrived the nurse kindly asked if I would like an epidural and I responded with "yes, please." Then she checked me and basically said... never mind. I was dilated to 8cm and there was no time. They no sooner rolled me to the delivery room, got some blood drawn and my water broke! No pain meds for me.
Olivia was born at 6:48pm 7lbs 15oz. She came out so fast, they had to work to get her breathing, but other than that she was perfect! I will never forget that day as long as I live.

Welcome Olivia!

We are anxiously awaiting Miss Olivia. She is due to arrive on April 14th, but if she is anything like her big brother she could be here any day. My sisters Karla and Amanda were kind enough to throw me a baby shower to welcome our newest addition (thank you again girls!).

Tater Tot Casserole

Dinner time is becoming a bit of a challenge. Aiden doesn't like the things he once loved, and he certainly will not try anything new regardless of our efforts. However, one night Super Dad made tater tot casserole and well, see for yourself...

This time he was begging for more instead of whining to get down. I wish every night could go this smooth.

Christmas at Nana's House

We ended our busy holiday with a relaxing day in Sweet at Nana and Papa's house. We had a nice turkey dinner, and we received some wonderful gifts (Thank you both). I think by the end of the day Aiden finally got the hang of opening presents. He still likes the boxes best, but he will catch on soon enough.
Hey Nana, check this out.

I love things that spin!

Never mind the big box your leaning on is yours too....

I'm really good at helping dad put things together. :)

Eating olives on my new slide

The perfect end to Christmas. Warm and cozy with Nana.
Merry Christmas!
